Archival Inkjet Printing
The beauty of pigmented inkjet prints lies in the subtlety of ink on paper and the unprecedented control over tonal quality. Our prints are made on an Epson 9880 printer, using Ultrachrome K3 Inks and a range of matte papers. They are light fast from 100-300 years, depending on display options. With color managed workflow, we can produce prints up to 44 inches wide in both black and white and color from digital files or film scans. Our combined 40 years of experience in the field gives us the knowledge and skill to work with the most discerning clients.

Silver Gelatin Printing
The long held tradition of silver gelatin printing is alive at Sonoran Print Editions. We can produce prints up to 32 x40 inches on either matte or glossy fiber based paper, from negatives up to 8 x 10 inches. Multiple combinations of paper type and toning are available. Unique in their subtle expression of tonality, silver gelatin prints also offer superior archival characteristics. Our printer has been working in the wet darkroom for 16 years.

Scanning
In addition to our printing services, we also provide high resolution drum scanning of negatives, transparencies and flat art in any format. The importance of a high quality scan is often underestimated.

Digital Workup and Retouching
We provide minor color correction and retouching included in our custom print prices. However, digital files and film scans often require extensive image adjustment prior to printing.

Art Reproduction
Sonoran Print Editions can reproduce 2D & 3D artwork of any size using the latest in digital technology, from high resolution digital capture, to flatbed and drum scanning. We can also produce 4 x 5 inch transparencies. Our experience in art reproduction ranges from the production of digital files for web and portfolio use to the production of files for offset printing for major museum catalogs and artist monographs. Our services are mobile, allowing museums, galleries and private collections to avoid prohibitive handling fees and travel insurance.
